About this event
Calling all winter adventurers! On Friday, March 7 at 1pm, join Ausable Freshwater Center staff for an Invasive Species Winter Tour and Workshop at the Ausable Preserve. We’ll strap on some snowshoes and take a walk in the beautiful winter landscape. Our Biodiverse Habitats team will teach you how to identify common invasive plants in our area and provide hands-on demonstrations to manage them in winter. From there, you can join us as we work to clear some invasive plants or wander over to a small bonfire and enjoy cocoa and conversation. The tour is free, but space is limited and registration is required. We will provide snowshoes and hand lenses for participants to use. To register, please email events@ausablecenter.org or call (518)637-6859.
